By way of its verdict of 12th September 1999 - 312 O 85/98 - "Liability for links", the Hamburg Regional State Court (Landgericht Hamburg) ruled that one may be held jointly responsible for the content of a linked website if one's own website includes a link to the given website. According to the court, this can only be prevented if one expressly distances oneself from the content concerned.
